Florida Statute §316.1895 (automated speed enforcement in school zones) & Florida Statute §316.0776 (speed detection systems; 30-day public awareness rule)
Options – 1. Pay the $100 fine by the due date with no points, court costs or reporting, matter closed. 2. Fail to respond by the due date and the registered owner of the vehicle will be issued a standard traffic citation. The fine will more than double to $219 with added court costs. If you received a letter from us then you are at option 2. You are past the warning stage and the county has opened a standard traffic citation case against you.
Important: the ticket date may be recent but the actual speeding infraction may have occurred several weeks earlier.
